Mercy Montessori students shared their appreciation and encouragement for 911 telecommunicators during National Public Safety Telecommunications week with inspirational handwritten notes and home-made gifts. Students worked with the Kyle Plush Answer the Call Foundation to create these care packages. Kyle was a student at Mercy Montessori through sixth grade. Care packages included encouragement jars with handwritten notes, “Keeping Your Cook and Saving Lives” packets with mints, and hand drawn note card packs with the tag “Be The Inspiration for Others To Be Their Best Self Every Day”.
Inspired by this effort, a Mercy family added to the effort by sewing face masks for first responders out of Mercy Play Day t-shirts. The masks will be added to the care packages created by the students and delivered to 911 call centers by KPATC volunteers.
Mercy is proud to support our city’s front line workers and the efforts of the Kyle Plush Answer the Call Foundation!
